Paper Pulp

I.  Material

Ingredient: waste card paper and water.


Tools: blender, bowl, gauze, and mold.

II. PROCEDURE

1. Tear the waste card paper into moderate sizes of pieces.


2. Pour the pieces into a blender to crush.


3. Pour the crushed pieces into a bowl and pour water enough to cover.


4. Let the paper soak in water for one day.


5. Squeeze water out by using gauze.


6. Pour the paper starch onto the mold evenly and dry in an oven at 30°C for a week.


III. RESULTS

Thickness: 6mm


Toughness: fragile


Notes:


The upward side turns to be too rough compared with the side beneath, which could be improved by using a paper suppressor.
